17 Weeks!

How big is baby this week? Baby is the size of an onion.

Due Date: May 8, 2012

Weight Gain: Holding steady. I was totally freaked out about this, as I've only gained roughly one lb this whole pregnancy thus far, but my Dr was not worried at all- said baby is getting all the nutrients it needs from me.

Symptoms: Nausea now when driving, heartburn. Stuffy, bloody nose, growing belly.

Cravings: Water, milk, pickles, sushi, guacamole, raw veggies.

Aversions: No aversions, but super saucy is not very appetizing.

Sleep: Able to stay up later, and sleeping pretty well- having some strange dreams tho.

I am loving: Feeling baby move! Started on Thanksgiving!

I miss: raw sushi and a good Bloody Mary.

I am looking forward to: Our next ultrasound- December 12- hoping baby cooperates so we can find out the sex!

I'm spazzing about: needing to recover the chair we bought

Best thing about this week: Getting to feel baby move- it's the best!

Milestones: feeling baby move, and baby's cartilage is turning into bone.

Movement: Yup! Usually feels like popcorn, sometimes it tickles, and sometimes it feels like little kicks!

It's a...: Still no idea:(

Thanksgiving

Back to reality after a wonderful, relaxing time with Husband's family. We headed up to Husband's hometown on Wednesday after work, stopped to have dinner with my SIL (yummy sushi) and got in that evening. Thursday we had two Thanksgivings- one with Husband's dad's side, and one with his mom's, then Friday I got up super early to hit the Black Friday sales. I never used to do Black Friday, but now it's a tradition that I go with Husband's mom, SIL, cousin, and whoever else wants to go. I'm not normally a big shopper, but this is a great way for me to knock out a ton of Christmas presents in one day and have fun with the girls as well. I still have a few people left to buy for, but I'd still say it was a success.

What I was most thankful for this Thanksgiving was that I started to feel baby move. I had had a couple of "was that the baby" moments, but nothing distinct, then all of a sudden, baby was very active on Thanksgiving, and I've felt it each day since. Such a crazy, cool feeling- it definitely makes it feel more real. I can't wait until Husband can feel too.

We got our next ultrasound scheduled- my dr does an ultrasound at every apt, but this next apt is our in depth anatomy scan to make sure everything's going well in there, and hopefully find out the sex! It's December 12 at 7:30am. Praying that baby cooperates this time around!

Uncooperative baby:(

Well, we were supposed to find out today if we're expecting a boy or girl, but baby was uncooperative. Legs crossed and maybe sleeping. Everything else looked good, and they are going to try to schedule my big ultrasound at the imaging center for two weeks from now instead of four so we don't have to wait as long. I really don't care either way, but I am pretty disappointed to not find out. Two more weeks of waiting!
