36 Weeks!

How big is the baby this week: Emersyn is the size of a coconut!

Due Date:
May 8, 2012, but I'm really hoping she comes a little early:)

Weight Gain: Holding steady this week. Running total: 22 lbs.

Symptoms: Big belly, contractions. Also, pretty sure she's dropped- at least a little bit.

Cravings: Milk.

Aversions: The contractions bring some nausea with them, so in the midst of the worse ones, nothing sounds good.

Sleep:
Sleeping on the couch is helping, but I still wake up frequently to use the bathroom, maybe 2 times a night because of contractions.

I am loving: Warm baths and back/foot rubs.

I miss: Sleeping in my bed.

I am looking forward to: Dr. appointment tomorrow to get some answers (hopefully), and Blake's parents coming this weekend!

I'm spazzing about: Knowing when to go into the hospital. Having contractions 3-4 min apart and still getting sent home makes it a little unclear about when to head back. Oh and, we got in the bookshelf, and it had a giant hole in the side. Reordered.

Best thing about this week: Having my parents down for the weekend- we got a LOT of stuff done around the house, and checked off my list- I feel a lot more prepared. And, Hubby said YES to birth photography (yay, yay, yay!).

Milestones: Bassinet is assembled, her laundry and sheets are washed, my bags are (mostly) packed, and we did our registry completion on two registries (waiting to complete the last one after she's here so if there's anything we forgot we can get it off that one).

Movement: Has definitely decreased since I started having the contractions. I'm making a more conscious effort to keep track of her movement now.

It's a...: Girl!!! Emersyn Grace:)

  1. Oh! 36 weeks! So close!

And it is super confusing about when to go and when not to! I had latent labor issues with my last two kids and ended up at the hospital a whole lot more than I wanted to. I even got sent home after contractions that were 2 minutes apart, being 4-5 dilated, AND an epidural.

    It can get frustrating!

  2. Wow 36 weeks! Almost there! I am sure you were thinking it was baby time over the weekend, that's what I would've thought! I admire that you are not pulling your hair out about that bookcase (or maybe you are)...it has ME stressed out, lol! It has to be so hard to know when to go in...when in doubt, call I say. I've called so much, my OB's office doesn't even ask who I am anymore, lol! Hang in there mama!

  3. I had contractions like yours with my last little one. I don't know how long yours are lasting. Mine were 3-5min apart but were "only" lasting 30-40 seconds. They told me that once they start lasting a minute or more that those are the more "productive" ones... don't know if that helps! Good luck!! :)

  4. Ooo good luck with all those contractions! I have had random contractions but my cervix is still locked down so now I'm thinking this little butt will be late :(
