34 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2.0

How big is the baby this week: Baby is the size of a durian!

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014.

Weight Gain: About a pound.  Total: 16 lbs.

Symptoms: Wednesday morning, I was getting ready for music class with E, and I had what the dr called a vasovagal event.  Basically, my blood pressure dropped, and baby Caleb shifted to where he was right on a major vein that supplies blood to my brain and I came very close to passing out.  When I dropped to the floor he shifted, my blood pressure spiked back up and that caused me to throw up.  Totally freaked me out, and my wonderful SIL ended up coming to drive me to the dr since I was worried about driving.  Other than that, big belly, fatigue, tightness in my arms and legs, which also feel very heavy at various times during the day.  Basically, pregnancy is weird.

Cravings: Burgers, salads, milk.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: Sleep itself is going ok, I still wake up 1-2 times a night to use the bathroom, but now when I wake in the morning I just don't feel rested.  I wake up still tired and very sore, just from laying on my side and not being able to shift very much at night.

I am loving: Getting closer to my due date.

I miss: Being able to find a comfortable position.

I am looking forward to: My baby sprinkle this weekend!

I'm spazzing about: Finding a birth photographer.  I've contacted 4 people- 3 couldn't and 1 cost $1,000.  I know the value of photography, but that's out of our price range.  It's also really frustrating because I wish I could just photograph my own birth haha.

Best thing about this week: I always love dr appointments and finding out everything is still going well in there.

Milestones: I've been told that the baby is high and low (aka he's just everywhere), and also that I look like I don't have much time left.  Ha. Ha.

Movement: Lots! He's active like his sister was!

33 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2.0

How big is the baby this week: Baby is the size of a honeydew!

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014.

Weight Gain: Up 2 lbs this week.  Running total: 15 lbs.

Symptoms: The belly seems to have "popped" again.  Lots of soreness- hips, belly, back, legs.  Still have times I need to sit down to not pass out, and the numbness in the arms and legs is pretty annoying.

Cravings: Burgers, and anything I don't have to cook.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: Is ok.  I wake up a few times a night, and wake up sore and tired.  I know it will be worse with a newborn though haha.

I am loving: Baby hiccups.  I also love that E's new favorite thing is to hug and kiss- Caleb is getting lots of loving.

I miss: Being able to give E a bath without feeling like I'm crushing Caleb.

I am looking forward to: Our trip to Branson this weekend for Blake's 30th birthday!

I'm spazzing about: lots of things, but trying to just relax.

Best thing about this week: Caleb's curtains are done!

Milestones: I'm outgrowing some of my maternity clothes. BIG belly.

Movement: Lots of it and it can be pretty painful.  Nothing compared to labor, but that's why we have epidurals, right?

32 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2

How big is the baby this week: Caleb is the size of a squash!

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014

Weight Gain: Up 1 lb this week.

Symptoms: I think I "popped" again.  Even the hubs admitted that my belly is pretty darn large.  Can't believe I still have 8 weeks left.  Also can't believe that my dr says I'm still measuring "right on track" as my belly is CLEARLY bigger than it was with E and she was measuring way ahead at this point. The lovely blue veins have made their reappearance all over my belly, and boobs. Dr. said the tingling and numbness in my hand and arms, and the nearly passing out this week was due to low blood sugar.  Said I need to be eating between 6-8 times a day.  Kind of interesting with a toddler.  Heartburn is a daily occurrence, and my hands and legs get very hot and tight feeling.  Not sure if that's swelling or dry skin.  Waking up sore.  All over.

Cravings: All the food.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: It's ok until I have to use the bathroom.  Then Caleb wakes up and keeps me up for quite awhile.  Basically, I'm tired a lot and can't sleep.

I am loving: Foot rubs.  Anytime the hubs will give them, which isn't super often:(

I miss: Being more comfortable.

I am looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery.

I'm spazzing about: At my 32 weeks appointment I spoke with my dr about the fact that I'm due May 8, and E's birthday is May 4.  I really don't want to be IN the hospital on Emersyn's birthday.  I'm betting she wouldn't really notice, but the idea really bothers me.  Dr said if everything looks favorable we could do an elective induction May 1.  Thankful we don't have to decide anything right now because I'm really going back and forth on this idea.

Best thing about this week: Emersyn's transition to her big girl bed has gone SO WELL!  Huge answer to prayer and gives me one less thing to worry about with Caleb on the way.

Milestones: Assembled our double stroller.  Wasn't really necessary this early, but I got the urge to put it together, so I did.  E was very excited, and since the weather wasn't great, we made several laps around the house.

Movement: Can be painful.  But still incredibly thankful for a healthy babe.
