Caleb arrived April 30, 2014 at 1:24pm. He weighed 8 lbs even. I'll wait for the photos from our birth photographer for his birth story, but so far everything is going really well. Not to completely jinx myself, but so far Caleb is a much easier baby than Emersyn was. He likes to sleep (!!!), and has already put himself on a feeding schedule of every 2.5-3ish hours. Breastfeeding is second nature this time around, no big issues with overactive letdown or reflux! Life with two is busy, but good. Blake's on paternity leave until Friday, so we'll see how I do by myself, but the last two weeks have been really good for my mama heart.

38 Weeks: Baby 2.0
How big is the baby this week: Caleb is the size of a pumpkin!
Due Date: May 8, 2014, but we have an end in site of April 30!Weight Gain: Up 1 lb this week. Running total: 22 lbs.
Symptoms: I've had a few episodes of regular, painful Braxton Hicks that have made me question if it's baby time, but nope, just baby C making his presence known. I haven't had any more vasovagal episodes, but I do still have regular heartburn and soreness. Also, at my 37 week apt I was 3 cm dilated, and 50% effaced. Still the same yesterday.
Cravings: Sushi. Duh.
Aversions: Nothing really stands out.
Sleep: Waking up more frequently at night to use the bathroom- I think he's just very low.
I am loving: That we have an end in site, though I'm nervous (again) for an induction.
I miss: The ease of not having a belly in the way of things.
I am looking forward to: Next Wednesday!
I'm spazzing about: Life with a toddler and a newborn. I know we'll figure it out, but I'm definitely nervous.
Best thing about this week: Getting a lot done around the house and in the yard.
Milestones: Less than one week until Caleb's arrival!
Movement: Lots and lots of movement!
It's a...: Boy!

37 Weeks: Baby 2.0
How big is the baby this week: Baby is the size of a watermelon!
Due Date: May 8, 2014.
Weight Gain: Up 2 lbs this week. Running total: 21 lbs.
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, fatigue, nesting. At my apt on Wednesday I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced.
Cravings: Bruschetta.
Aversions: Nothing.
Sleep: Still sleeping well. Wake up 1-2 times to use the bathroom, but go right back to sleep.
I am loving: That the nursery is almost done! The chair we ordered won't be in until early May, so it won't be finished until then, but it's so close.
I miss: Being able to do things without the belly in the way. It's hard to get down and play with E, or even stand for long periods of time.
I am looking forward to: Easter! We're going to have E's first egg hunt!
I'm spazzing about: My dr has said at my last two appointments that he could be here any day, so every twinge has me wondering if he's on his way.
Best thing about this week: Blake put up the vintage suitcase shelves in Caleb's nursery this week!
Milestones: I would say already being dilated to a 3 is a pretty big milestone for me.
Movement: He loves to move a lot in the evenings, which is also when I get the most Braxton Hicks, so it can make for a painful few hours.
It's a...: Boy!
