28 Candles

Today is my 28th birthday and I am feeling so incredibly blessed, I had to write it down.  To remember when the baby is crying, or the hubby has to work late.

I woke up this morning to my hubby giving me a kiss and wishing me happy birthday before leaving for work.  I went back to sleep and was awakened by a happy birthday call from my bestie from middle school, who is still a bestie today.  I laid in bed for a few more minutes because my baby was sleeping in just a tad.  So very blessed.

By the time I got out of bed I already had text messages and facebook notifications from people wishing me a great day.  I got calls all morning from friends and family that had remembered today and wanted to give me some love.  My mom and dad (whose last check up shows is still cancer free), called to tell me they loved me.  My niece sang to me over the phone.  So very blessed.

My baby learned to crawl yesterday, and do you know what she MOST wants crawl towards?  Me.  And, although she has yet to repeat it, I swear she uttered the word Mama when I was changing her diaper.  Even though she can cry with the best of them, and is still not sleeping through the night, she is happy, healthy, and has made our lives more complete and full than I ever imagined. So very blessed.

I had a birthday lunch with my SIL and E, before heading over to say hi to my hubby and ask what time he'd get off work, since he usually has to work 1-2 hours (or more) later than when he's supposed to get off work.  He told me he was leaving when he got off, he'd already told everyone, no exceptions, for my birthday.  So very blessed.

Do you know what I am MOST excited for this birthday?  More than gifts, or cards?  I am beyond excited that Blake has this weekend off and we can spend time together.  I'm not saying that to be mushy, I'm saying I'm thankful to be married to a man that I love just being with more than anything else in this world, even after five years of marriage.  So very, very blessed.

And, there are cupcakes waiting to be eaten;)
