30 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2

How big is the baby this week: Baby is the size of a cucumber.

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014

Weight Gain: Running total: 11 lbs.  Expecting to see lots of gaining this trimester.

Symptoms: Big ol' belly! Veins on my belly and stretch marks (either old ones from E or new ones) are apparent now.  Heartburn, and my arms and legs have periods of going numb.  Pesky, painful leg cramps.

Cravings: Food in general.  I like something sweet after lunch and dinner, but too much makes me feel nauseous again.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: Sleep is better at this point than it was with Emersyn.  Caleb is lower than she was, so I don't have the issues breathing, but I do get up frequently to use the bathroom.

I am loving: Food.

I miss:
Being able to find a comfortable position.

I am looking forward to: Some sweet friends of mine are throwing me a "sprinkle" at the end of March.  Very excited to celebrate our baby boy!

I'm spazzing about: Well, for E it was a bookcase, with this baby it's a chair.  We have a chair we like, however it's a big purchase after a series of big purchases.  Just not ready (or willing) to make the leap yet.  Ugh, instead of thinking about it I'll just ignore it for awhile haha.

Best thing about this week: We got in our co-sleeper that my BIL and SIL got for us!

Milestones: Reaching 30 weeks! Also, Caleb got the hiccups for the first time this week!

Movement: Lots of it, and it's definitely getting slightly painful.  Powerful guy:)

It's a...: Boy!

29 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2

How big is the baby this week: Emersyn is the size of an acorn squash.

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014

Weight Gain: No idea.

Symptoms: This belly just keeps a growin', which is good!  He's definitely much lower than Emersyn was- I haven't had nearly the issue with breathing this time around, but I have had more hip pains, and had to use the restroom a lot more often.  Heartburn is still pretty prevalent.  Hungrier than I was before.  Also, I've been having pretty bad leg cramps here lately.

Cravings: Food in general.  And sushi.  But that's always a craving.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: Sleep is pretty good. Wake up once or twice a night to use the bathroom, but I can get back to sleep fairly easily.

I am loving: Getting house projects crossed off our list.  Also, the hubs gave me a long unasked for foot rub the other night.  Felt amazing.

I miss: Sleeping on my back.  My regular clothes.

I am looking forward to: Finishing up E's big girl room and the nursery.

I'm spazzing about: A chair for the nursery, finishing projects in time, and newborn days (and nights) with a toddler.

Best thing about this week: That foot rub was pretty darn fabulous.  Also, this should go on next week because it happened Friday (I hit 29 weeks Thurs), but since I'm posting late... I've realllly wanted the Arms Reach Co-sleeper since we found out we were pregnant, hoping it would mean more sleep for mama, but I just wasn't able to justify in my mind the cost.  My brother-in-law Brad and sister-in-law Jeni gifted me with one this week as a thank you for doing their birth and newborn pictures.  So stinking excited!

Milestones: Had the Glucose screening right when I turned 29 weeks, and I passed it with no issues.  However, they discovered I have low iron, so I've been put on a supplement.

Movement: Lots of it!  Rolls and kicks:)

It's a...: Boy!

28 Weeks: Baby Crockett 2

How big is the baby this week: Baby is the size of a rutabaga.

Due Date:
 May 8, 2014

Weight Gain: Up 2 lbs from last weigh in- total 9 lbs.

Symptoms: Growing belly, heartburn, and some weird dreams.

Cravings: Milk, steak, donuts, coffee.

Aversions: Nadda.

Sleep: Pretty good still, getting up once or twice a night to use the bathroom, usually it's pretty easy to get back to sleep, but sometimes baby boy wakes up and starts kicking and it's hard to get back to sleep.

I am loving: The nursery is coming right along- so exciting!  The hubs put in a lot of work on it this past week!

I miss: Being able to put my socks and shoes on without feeling like I'm about to suffocate, sleeping on my belly and back.

I am looking forward to: Continuing work on the nursery and E's big girl room.

I'm spazzing about: Still trying to decide if we want to purchase a chair for the nursery or make do with using the chair currently in our living room.  It's pretty comfortable, but doesn't rock or anything.  Also kind of worried about having a boy- totally new world to this girl mom.  Thankful I have friends and a sis-in-law to ask what in the heck I do with a boy haha.  And my husband haha.

Best thing about this week: The moment my hubby was able to turn our water back on after 2 days without while waiting for the sealant to cure on a broken pipe.  Oh, how glorious is running water!

Milestones: We're officially starting to move into the semi painful kick part of pregnancy.  Thankful he's growing and healthy!

Movement: See above.

It's a...: Baby boy!  Caleb James.
